About

As local missionaries, Pillars of Mind Ministries improves overall health through small groups, education, and discipleship, focusing on the four "Pillars": mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical. A key part of our support for these pillars includes providing content and facilitation for mental health and caregiver support groups.

We Believe

We believe that Jesus is both fully God and fully human. He is considered the Son of God, a person of the Trinity alongside God the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless life, died for our sins as the perfect sacrifice, defeated sin and death, and rose again on the third day. The only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ. We are now called to love God first, love our neighbour, and go and make disciples.

Mission

We empower and equip the church with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual grounding to compassionately and effectively support the mental and spiritual wellbeing of their faith communities.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Vision

To cultivate a network of individuals who are champions of mental wellness and discipleship, leading to transformed lives and communities.

"For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." Romans 12:4-5

Language

PILLARS: We believe your overall health is comprised of four pillars: mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical. An imbalance in any of these pillars affects the entire foundation of your well-being. To achieve wellness, it's crucial to care for your whole self.

"Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul." - 3 John 1:2

MISSIONARY: A missionary is someone that shares their faith, and/or makes disciples.

LOCAL MISSIONARY: As Christians, we're called to make disciples of all nations, including our own. To us, a local missionary is a missionary that spreads the gospel within their own local area or country. We do this through discussions on mental and spiritual health in small groups and by discipling leaders to continue our mission.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

DISCIPLE: "Being a disciple who participates in God's mission means living your life, doing your work, engaging your relationships and inhabiting your community with Christ and in a manner that manifests His rule right where you are." -Skye Jethani, What if Jesus was Serious About the Church?, 2022

"Jesus replied, 'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: Love your neighbour as yourself.'" - Matthew 22:38-39
